Finally, I applied For A New One...

Finally, I renewed my passport today. Actually, I woke up too early just to get ready to go to the DFA office because my couple friends told me to go to the DFA office as early as possible because there would be lots of applicants.

At 5:30 in the morning, I was ready to go to the DFA (Department of foreign affair) office but my heart won't agreed what's in my thought. So, I waited until the breakfast served at 6:00 in the morning and I had my quickest breakfast ever because I wanted to be at the office asap, so, rode a taxi going to the office. To my dismayed, only one man standing outside the gate and I was scared to get our of the taxi because I was not really sure if it's safe to be standing along the road waiting for the time that the security guard would give the priority number. But the driver told me that it's okay to stand and wait because there were security inside and they could see me outside. Hmmm, you might say, I didn't trust God to take care of me, of course I do. He is my Great Protector but wisdom is very needed too...

Not long enough, there were a few people coming but still it's still too early. Well, the security guard arranged us according per transactions, like for renewal one line, to those who had appointments already another line and also to those who never had appointments yet just came for the first time,...Hmm,,, I'd rather say the first timer applicants While hearing some of the applicants that they came back because it's their appointment day to pass their documents both for renewal and just applied for the passport. I prayed silently and asking God for HIS favor that I would not be rescheduled for the submission of my documents as the others did. Speaking of the priority number, the security guard didn't give a priority number at all. I guess, they only give the priority numbers if there will be many applicants. Might be??? Or they might changed the procedure already.

Well, to make the long story short, the office opened on time. So, I gladly and prayerfully went inside that I would not come back for the submission of my document such as the xerox of my passport. And the person sitting next to me has an appointment even he came for a renewal of his passport. The more I prayed and trust God that I would not come back just to submit my document. Then, my name was called and I was happily and smiled to the in-charge and greeted her at the same time. She looked at and read the application form, xerox of my passport, and my passport itself, and she approved my application. for the renewal of my passport... PTL! Then, she told me to go to the other corner and have my picture taking, so I went.

Of course, after the picture taking, I paid, received the passport slip, and I'll be picking up my new electronic passport in fifteen working days from now. After the DFA office I went to the mall and hang around for awhile. Then, I went back to the hotel where I am staying and resting. And I've been so very thankful to God for everything.

The Electronic Passport

I phoned the DFA office today and I asked about my passport, if I could still use my non-electronic passport to travel beyond Asian continents. Though, it will expire in 2 years and 8 months from now.

Good thing that I never just assumed that I could still use my passport because the person who answered my call immediately advised me to get the electronic passport because it’s very important for me to do. Anyways, I still have plenty of time to renew my passport soon. So, hopefully, by next week, I will do renewing my passport and it will be released in 15 working days.

Actually, I wanted to do the renewal tomorrow but for some reasons I have to delay as provision arrives and also I have to prioritize the things that I have been working for a couple of days already. So, the most important comes first….. ^_^
